Finally, I buy the gearbox 5 velocity. Its from a MB 190D.

The number is R 124 261 03 01
I think it is good for my van!
I check the engine starter, and it is the same side.

Friends tipierre, ram Luciano, what do you think about that gearbox?
It is good with no modifications on my Merciana ? :O

Wait don't you have a small iron plate on the gear box with a number on it ?
I can't tell anything with the number you gave...
If you can check how many turns the output shaft does while you are giving 10 turns on the input shaft (on the 5th gear of course). That will tell us if it is a long or a short gear box. You may need a short... Anyway there will have modifications to do, but not so much if you get the right gear box

I'm quite sure that you cannot fits this box in your 406D without important modifications.

the clutch of the 406D will not fit with the 190 clutch shaft.

717 412 0 6007436 (i think this is two numbers in same line, that number is valid on epcMB ).
